Fire Update

We were finally allowed to come home late last night. The fire had consumed 900 acres in all. No homes or structures were lost or damaged. The fire crew is still out here cleaning up hotspots. We were told to remain vigilant in case it sparks up again....which I hope it doesn't. The last couple of days have been very stressful and I'm very tired. I will post photos that I took before we had to leave....once my stomach finally unties itself and I don't feel like bursting out in tears every 30 seconds.

I am very thankful that I was able to spend my birthday (today) at home with my loving hubby, our five dogs, and my spinner's flock. I'm also very thankful that everyone who was evacuated got to return to homes that were still there and un-damaged. Finally I'm thankful for the fire crews (both in the air and on the ground) who worked so very hard and are still working very hard to make it possible for us all to have homes to return to. I waved to every fire crew member I saw and thanked quite a few in person as we were heading home last night.
