Orange Crush - Step #5 - second half

Well, I definitely wasn't expecting to finish these blocks up as quickly as I did.....but here they are.....done!! All 18 of the half blocks are now completed and waiting to be put into a quilt top. For the first time I am actually caught up with this mystery. Now I wonder what step #6 will entail.

Sweater Update: I worked on it for a bit this morning. Manged to get the first lace section done plus the four rows of garter stitch. Looks like the eyelet row is next. Wonder how hard this will be to accomplish? I've never done any lace knitting at all. And have only done one sweater....and that one was with large needles and bulky yarn. So this is definitely a learning experience.....and a most pleasant one at that.

  1. I think there's one more small step to step 5. The small blocks.
There are only 4, and they are very easy. You have it 99 percent done. Your blocks look great. As I have said before, I love your colors.

  2. Candace beat me to it - about the last 4 blocks. Love your colours, the yellow seems to complement the rest, rather than shouting at them as my pink does!

  3. Candace and Amanda, thanks for letting me know about the four quarter blocks. I have them all laid out and will sew them up this morning. I look forward to seeing how your quilts turn out.

  4. Wow love your colors. This reminds me of lovely spring mornings with all the yellow.
Your quilt is going to be fabulous cant wait to see what it looks like completed.

  5. Thanks, Susann. Still not sure how I feel about the colors, but I'm moving ahead. The quilt is now laid out and I have started sewing my rows together.

  6. Maybe you should name yours Irish Spring with all the green! It really changes the look.
