Roseville

Sometimes it's a good thing to re-visit the past....especially in quilting.  =)  This is a "blast from the past" that finally decided to call my name and I've been having tons of fun getting reacquainted with it. I have to confess that I'm glad it was set aside all those years ago. I definitely did not have the knowledge or skills for this wonderful quilt then.....as I do now.

Not all of the blocks are completely finished. Some of the appliqué has to wait until that specific block has been sewn to its neighbor. The reason for this....the appliqué crosses seam lines. There are 12 blocks, a large center block, and borders.....all appliqué.  So far I have five blocks done and am waiting to start on number six. Just need to finish a project or two first....

For those who are curious........the pattern is by Maggie Walker, as are the fabrics I'm using for it.

  2. Thank you! I'm giving myself all of this year to finish it. A quilt like this deserves to have lots of time spent on it. :)
